Buwambo YMCA University
We had a breakfast meeting with students of Buwambo YMCA University and 31 students registered to volunteer at the Festival.
Bombo Army Secondary School
Our team headed into Bombo Army Secondary school, and over 20 students gave their lives to Christ.
Love Where You Live Ndejje
Our team visited different neighborhoods to do community service and door-to-door evangelism as part of Love Where You Live in Ndejje. Incredibly, 76 people gave their lives to Christ.
Football Tournament
We launched the tournament at the start of October. The tournament is one of the ways we are reaching out to youths in ghettos with the gospel and love of Christ in word and deed.
Grab A Towel Training
The Grab A Towel training was hosted by Message Uganda and led by Tim Tucker with the help of the Message Uganda Project Manager, Racheal Mutesi. It brought together over 60 church leaders who were inspired and equipped in Christ-centered servant leadership and was an incredible day of great discussions, empowerment and growth.
Advance Training
People from over 50 churches and parachurch organisations gathered for the Advance & Innovative Evangelism training to equip them for the work of ministry during the festival and afterwards. A number of topics were covered and included digital evangelism, transformative and servant leadership and mentorship, ans effective evangelism models.
24 for 24
The Message Uganda team took part in a 24 hour fundraising event to raise funds for Festival Bombo. The team did three fundraising activities, ghetto in praise led by Racheal Mutesi, a benefit concert led by Joel Bunjo, and a bike ride done by Calvin Mukiza.
